Ford India confirms small car plans
US based automaker Ford has confirmed that they are working on a small car for the Indian market.
This new product from Ford India should be out by 2010.
Scott McCormack, Vice-President, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India confirmed the plans in a statement: “We are working on the small car programme and will be launching it in 2010.”
Indian automotive market continues to remain dominated by compact cars. GM India has shown massive boost in sales after they launched their Spark. Maruti is the market leader solely because of their excellent range of compact cars.
