Dell denies reports that SSD based laptops are disappointing customers
US based personal computer maker Dell has denied that customers are returning notebooks which are fitted with solid state drives.
Avian Securities analyst Avi Cohen had claimed in a research paper that Dell is seeing high return rates (20 – 30%) due to performance issues and failures on solid state disk drives.
The company said in a blog post that Avian did not contact them during their research and the facts are totally wrong.
Dell further stated that their global reliability data has shown that the SSD drives are equal to or better than traditional hard disk drives.
