Simply Smart ECS G10IL to take on Eee PC
Taiwanese tech company Elitegroup Computer Systems has announced that they would soon launch a low cost laptop computer which would feature 3G support for wireless internet connectivity.
It would become the latest rival to the Asustek’s Eee PC.
ECS said that they are planning to offer customers a variety of machines under their Simply Smart ECS G10IL laptop family.
This low cost machine would feature a 10.2-inch screen and would support HSDPA and HSUPA technologies for wireless internet.
It would also come with a traditional dial-up modem in addition to support for Bluetooth.
The machine would be powered with the Intel’s Atom microprocessor and customers would be provided option between Windows XP and a Linux based OS.
