Toshiba all set to introduce its 128 GB solid-state drive
Japanese tech giant Toshiba has said that they are planning to launch a 128 GB solid-state drive by next month.
The company is also going to offer this drive through their notebook products in the coming months.
Toshiba said that their new solution strikes the right balance between price and performance.
Scott Nelson, VP of memory for Toshiba division Toshiba America Electronic Components spoke about their upcoming drive: “We believe that Toshiba MLC SSDs offer the right mix of cost and performance to satisfy today’s demanding storage requirements for notebooks and ultra-mobile PCs.”
It claimed that the drive would offer a read speed of 100 MB per second and a write speed of 40 MB per second.
