Google to cut jobs at DoubleClick

Search engine giant Google recently completed the acquisition of DoubleClick advertising company.

Google is now said to be considering cutting as many as 300 jobs in this acquired entity.

The company has officially declined to reveal the number of job cuts they are planning.

Google said in a statement: “Since our acquisition of DoubleClick closed on March 11, we have been working to match and align DoubleClick employees in the U.S. with our organizational plan for the business. As with many mergers, this review has resulted in a reduction in headcount at the acquired company.”

The company also announced that they would selloff Performics which was part of the acquisition deal. Since Performics is a search engine optimization company, they need to get rid of it.
