Vimpelcom offering Blackberry services in Russia

Russia’s Vimpelcom has now become the first mobile service provider to offer RIM Blackberry services in the country.

The company has now signed up a deal with world’s second-largest cigarette maker, British American Tobacco in the country.

They are currently offering the Blackberry 8700g model and are also in talks with 40 more potential corporate clients.

Mobile TeleSystems is another company in the region working on plans to launch Blackberry services. They recently launched the operations in Ukraine. They have around 300 corporate BlackBerry users in Ukraine.
