Hynix Semiconductor announces LPDDR2 memory chip for mobile phones
South Korea’s Hynix Semiconductor has announced that they have developed a new memory chip for mobile devices.
This memory chip has been named LPDDR2 and it can process data at 800 megabits per second.
The company claims that this makes it the fastest chip of its kind in the market right now.
A company representative added: “It is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of mobile applications which demand high memory density and fast operating speed features.”
They are planning to start mass production of this chip by the end of the current year.
