HP Mini-Note to take on Asustek EEE PC
World’s largest personal computer maker Hewlett Packard has announced their entry into the low cost laptop market with the introduction of their Mini-Note models.
The company revealed that these new machines would go on sale later this month. They are going to be targeted at school going children.
The machine weighs less than 3 pounds with a display that measures 8.9 inches diagonally.
They are using Via processors in these machines. They would not ship with a CD/DVD drive though customers can get them in their machines if they so desire.
The Linux based model would be priced at around USD 500 though they would cost more for Windows Vista editions.
