Amazon.com has become the latest retail store to offer some benefits to those customers who bought a HD DVD player from their service.

HD DVD format is practically dead now with Toshiba exiting from the alliance.

The online retailing giant is now offering a USD 50 credit to those customers who bought a HD DVD player from their site before February 23.

February 23 is the date when Toshiba announced their departure from the HD DVD market.

This offer is valid till April 9 next year.

Best Buy is another retailing giant in the country which had offered a $50 reward to customers of HD DVD players from their service.
