Capital World Investors, a unit of Capital Research and Management has now doubled their stake in the internet media giant Yahoo! This information was revealed in a filing with the regulatory body.

Market analysts say that they might have increased their stake in Yahoo hoping that Microsoft is now under pressure to enhance their bid for Yahoo.
Microsoft might have stated that they might lower the bid if Yahoo does not accept their offer in the coming days. But recent developments might change that stance.
Yahoo has entered into a limited partnership with Google to use their advertising system on their search pages.
The company is also said to be closing in on a deal with Time Warner to merge with AOL.
