Indonesia removes YouTube ban
Indonesian Internet providers have removed the ban on the Google owned video sharing service YouTube.
The ban was applied by the government due to a video hosted on the service related to an anti-Islam film made by a Dutch politician.
The ISPs said that they would now concentrate on blocking access to the individual pages showing the clippings.
Information and Communication Minister Mohammad Nuh spoke about the new developments: “It is like removing cancer from the body without making the patient die.”
