Associated Press launches Online Video Network

Online Video Network: Associated Press now providing a video syndication platform
Associated Press is collaborating with software giant Microsoft to launch a new online video syndication platform for web publishers.
The company would let content providers to syndicate online video to other sites across the Web.
The revenues generated from advertising would be shared between the three parties.
This new service from AP has been named Online Video Network. Robert Aitken, product manager of online video for AP said in a statement that this new service is based on a two year old project.
The original version of the service was designed to provide a basic video player that allowed local affiliates to upload either their own video or content provided by AP.
