Verizon Communications to use AOL advertising services
AOL is now going to provide online advertising services to telecom giant Verizon Communications.
This is one of the biggest such deals signed by the company ever since they decided to rely more on online services rather than ISP business.
An official announcement is likely to come sometime later today.
The services would be provided by AOL’s Platform-A advertising unit. This is a major breakthrough for them as they managed to overcome the challenge from rival companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft.
Lynda Clarizio, president of Platform-A said about this deal: “We’re all about working with Web sites to serve whatever needs they have.”
AOL Platform A would get the right to represent all of Verizon’s advertising space online.
