Apple iPhone in China still some time away
Market sources say that Apple is yet to begin any talks with mobile operators in China to launch the iPhone in this market.
China is one of the largest mobile markets in the world and Apple would like to have a presence here.
China is also the market where iPhone is sold in large numbers in the grey market at highly inflated price.
China Mobile chairman Wang Jianzhou had said recently that there were some issues which were preventing them from collaborating with Apple to bring the iPhone to china officially.
He however did say: “Our door will remain open as long as there is customer demand.”
This is pretty ironical considering most Apple products including the iPhone is manufactured in China itself.
