Yahoo Slurp 3.0 launched
Internet media giant and search engine company Yahoo has announced that they have launched their latest version of their indexing engine.
The company announced that Slurp 3.0 has been rolled out.
Yahoo added that the publishers who identify the crawler using IP might see a drop in the activity from their spiders.
A company representative said: “We strongly recommend that you move to reverse DNS-based identification of Yahoo Slurp if you’re using any other method to avoid this problem.”
The new indexing spiders would use Yahoo Slurp/3.0 agent.
