Dell now offering five new Quad-Core Opteron processor servers
Microprocessor maker AMD has said that Dell is now offering five more versions of servers powered by their Quad-Core Opteron processors.
With this, Dell is now offering as many as 13 versions of servers which are using this processor family.
Market analysts believe that this could mean that good times are back for this server processor from AMD which is struggling again to compete against Intel.
Dell’s new server range includes PowerEdge SC1435, 2970, M605, 6950, and T605. These are targeted at the corporate customers of the company.
