MySpace India launched
Social networking is pretty popular in the Indian market. But most people prefer to use Google’s Orkut or Friendster. Even Facebook is very popular amongst the web users around here.
MySpace however is the largest social networking service in the world and they have now launched the Indian version of the site.
MySpace India is now officially launched.
News Corp said that they are collaborating with SaReGaMa to make available music services through this service in India.
MySpace’s Chief Operating Officer, Amit Kapur said in a statement: “We are producing a series of albums in association with SaReGaMa for both national and international audiences.”
MySpace is also partnering with Star TV for this Indian venture.
MySpace’s Managing Director (International), Travis Katz added: “We will be providing the people of India the tools they need to live their lives online and empower them with a launch pad for Indian creators from developers, to musicians to filmmakers, to showcase their talents on the global stage.”
