Eee PC 900 coming to US market for USD 549

Asus has announced that they are bringing the upgraded Eee PC 900 in the US market next month.

It would be launched on May 12 in the US market and it would sell for USD 549.

The pricing is same for both the Linux and Windows XP machines. Though the Linux machine would feature more storage space (20GB).

Windows XP model would feature 12 GB of storage space.

This new edition would feature a larger, 8.9″ 1024×600 display, 1GB of DDR2 memory, Multi-Touch trackpad, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.

It would still be powered by the same Celeron M processor which can run at either 630 MHz or 900 MHz.
