Apple posts massive profits from improved sales of Mac
Apple continues to perform well as they have now posted profits of more than a billion dollar in the first three months of the year.
The company gained from improved sales of their Mac computers. The sales grew by more than 50 percent.
Apple however trimmed its earnings prediction for the current quarter.
The iPod maker earned 1.05 billion dollars on revenues of 7.51 billion dollars.
Apple chief executive Steve Jobs spoke about this achievement: “We’re delighted to report 43 percent revenue growth and the strongest March quarter revenue and earnings in Apple’s history. With over 17 billion dollars in revenue for the first half of our fiscal year, we have strong momentum to launch some terrific new products in the coming quarters.”
Apple is rumored to be closing in on launching the 3G edition of the iPhone mobile device. They are also expected to launch the iPhone in more markets.
