Research in Motion to open a new research facility in Germany
Makers of Blackberry mobile devices RIM has said that they are now planning to establish a new research and development facility in Germany.
They would be spending close to around $45 million in the first year of operations at this new facility being planned for Bochum, Germany.
It would have 140 new employees initially. The facility would eventually house 500 workers in the coming years.
The company added that this facility would work on both hardware and software technologies for future Blackberry products.
RIM faces intense competition from Apple and Nokia in the Smartphone market.
