T-Mobile USA aims to launch Google Android mobile phone this year
T-Mobile USA has said that they are aiming to launch their first Google Android powered mobile device in the market before the end of the year.
Joe Sims, vice president and general manager of T-Mobile’s broadband and new business division said that they have already seen some prototype devices and they are going to bring them to the US market.
He added: “I’m impressed. We will have more than one product… will be innovation across the board, not just one device.”
Sayeed Choudhury, Qualcomm’s vice president of product management for CDMA technologies added that they too were skeptical of the technology at first but once they saw the working prototypes they were satisfied and fairly impressed.
T-Mobile added that their phones would be customized as per the demands of the user and they are very excited about this new mobile platform.
