ISRO: PSLV-C9 to carry 10 satellites

ISRO is planning to launch 10 satellites in one single mission using its PSLV-C9. Eight of these satellites are for other countries.

The mission would take place on April 28 and the rocket would be launched from Sriharikota.

It would be carrying Indian satellite Cartosat-2A in addition to eight nano satellites of 16 to 27 kg from Canada, Netherlands, Denmark and Germany.

Cartosat-2A would be used by the government for mapping purposes and management of natural resources.

An ISRO representative said in a statement: “All launches are important. But, this is for the first time that ISRO is launching ten satellites together.”
