Ford Fiesta compact edition might land in India

Ford India has said in a statement that they considering the potential of bringing the just showcased Fiesta compact in the Indian market.

The company currently sells the Fiesta sedan here in India.

Ford has a minor share market here in India and it faces massive competition from General Motors which now have two small cars in India.

Ford India’s Michael Boneham said in a statement: “Ford is changing perspective towards global platforms. We are looking at global platforms to make them part of the India strategy.”

Ford is planning to launch the Fiesta Compact model in Europe, Asia, South Africa, Australia and North America markets.
