Microsoft Zune Marketplace now offering TV Shows
Microsoft has announced that they are now offering TV Shows on sale on their Zune Marketplace.
This would further boost their offerings against the market leader Apple iTunes.
The company is now scheduled to release a software update for the Zune digital media player to support these new features.
They have been already offering music videos for sale through the Zune Marketplace service.
Some of the series being offered through the store include Comedy Central’s “South Park” and Sci-Fi Channel’s “Battlestar Galactica”.
Each episode is being sold for USD 1.99.
The company added that they are also offering a selection of shows from NBC. NBC is not offering their content on Apple iTunes any more.
These TV show downloads are not being offered as part of any subscription plan as yet.
