Bill Gates: Steve Ballmer to make key decisions

Microsoft chairman Bill Gates has said that Ballmer would be making the key decisions now that the company has taken back their acquisition deal for Yahoo.

He has been quoted as saying: “Well, the key decisions on that will be made by Microsoft CEO Steven Ballmer, who took a look at Yahoo and decided that on our own he likes the stuff that we’re doing.”

He added: “We need to show the innovation and it’s a very competitive space. I wouldn’t rule out some partnerships but we don’t have anything imminent there.”

Microsoft continues to remain the world’s largest software company but they struggle in search and advertising markets when compared to Google and Yahoo.

They had planned to acquire Yahoo to enhance their market share against Google but that seem to have not worked out well yet.
