Cablevision Systems to develop their own wireless broadband network
Cablevision Systems has announced that they are now planning to invest $350 million to build a wireless broadband network.
This network would be used to serve their customers in the New York area. This network is expected to be up and running in the next two years.
The company added that users would be able to access this network using Wi-Fi enabled notebooks and other mobile devices.
Company Chief Operating Officer Tom Rutledge added: “Ultimately it will be a mobile voice-capable network.”
He added: “Creating this value proposition for customers will enhance our service and cement our relationship with customers for the long haul. It will allow us to offer our services beyond our network.”
