Dell launches PowerEdge R805 and R905 servers optimized for virtualization
US based PC maker Dell has announced that they are now shipping two new server products named PowerEdge R805 and R905.
These servers are optimized for virtualization and would ship with either VMware ESXi 3.5 or Citrix XenServer Dell Express Edition hypervisors preinstalled.
The company said that the R805 model ships with twice the memory and input/output capacity of previous edition servers.
Dell further said that they would now provide these virtualization solutions on their other offerings including PowerEdge 2950, R900, R1950, and R2900 and the M600 and M605 blade servers.
