Apple announces settlement of Canadian lawsuits related to iPods
Apple has confirmed that they have now settled a pair of class-action lawsuits in Canada which claimed that they lied about the battery life of their iPod range of digital media players.
The company is now said to be offering credits of about $44.75 to Canadian customers on their online store.
This is available customers who bought certain iPods from them on or before June 24, 2004.
It is not applicable to all of these customers though. The battery life of their iPods needs to meet certain requirement to avail this offer.
Apple did not say much on this new development. They have however posted the settlement agreement on their website.
