Powerset launches Wikipedia search engine
Powerset is one of the new search engine companies which aim to provide a different aspect to online searching.
The service provides result based on conversational phrasing searches instead of keyword searches made by other search engines.
The company said that their engine breaks down the meaning of words and sentences into related concepts which makes it possible for users to not rely on exact words for what they are searching for.
For starters, they are allowing users to conduct searches on Wikipedia online encyclopedia project.
Powerset said that the Wikipedia service is just a trial showcase for how its technology can be used to search the entire web.
