Honda Accord Eight Generation launched in India
Honda has now updated their Accord model in the Indian market. The latest version here in India is the eight generation edition of the popular luxury sedan from the Japanese auto maker.
The company added about their goals for the near future: “Today’s market conditions are bit unpredictable. We would review our sales target of 90,000 units for 2008-09”.
Honda India is setting up their new plant in Rajasthan. This plant would start manufacturing next year.
Honda Siel CEO Masahiro Takedagawa added: “Our new plant would be able to make some engine components by September, while the full assembly line would be ready by next year”.
The company is scheduled to bring to India the hybrid edition of Civic in the coming months.
They are also working on bringing their first small car product sometime next year.
The newly launched Honda Accord model is available in three editions: Accord 2.4, Accord 2.4 Elegance and Accord 2.4 Inspire.
