British Government launches ITSafe
Citizens of England now have an official source of receiving information on the latest virus alerts and the solutions. The UK government has joined the virus warning business with the launch of a new Web site, ITSafe. It would be providing information related to viruses and malware to protect citizens and businesses based in the UK by offering free advice and alerts on potential threats.
The information provided on the website would be collected from the National Infrastructure Security Co-ordination Center (NISCC). It would highlight information on how to deal with specific viruses and security risks.
British Home Office Minister Hazel Blears said in a statement: “There is a clear need for easy-to-understand and simple independent advice for non-technically minded people who use computers either at home or at workâ€.
The alerts can be received via email or text about the latest security threats.
