Samsung collaborating with LG on Mobile TV standards
Samsung Electronics has announced that they are collaborating with rivals LG Electronics to develop a new standard for Mobile Television.
They are going to be helped by Harris Corp. which is an American broadcast technology company.
This technology would be designed to enable mobile devices to receive signals sent out by local TV stations.
This new mobile television standard would compete with several existing technologies present in the market.
Qualcomm has their MediaFLO video service which is used by Verizon and AT&T in the US market.
