Ask.com acquires Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com and Reference.com
Search engine company Ask.com has announced that they are acquiring Lexico Publishing Group.
This acquisition gives them access to popular online destinations including Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com and Reference.com.
This deal would further broaden their range of services as they aim to generation more revenues from online advertising.
Company representative Jim Safka spoke about these services and the web users: “We want to ‘super serve’ those people”.
Ask.com thought about acquiring these web services as more than 30% of searches made on their search engine were connected to research.
