WPP Group to buy ads on Yahoo’s online ad exchange

Internet media giant Yahoo has announced that they are now collaborating with WPP Group.

The deal would see WPP Group buying ads from the Yahoo’s online ad exchange.

Yahoo has been under pressure from the investors to get into a deal with Microsoft which recently withdrew their acquisition offer from Microsoft.

The two companies added that the deal would also see 24/7 Real Media developing a proprietary advertising media trading platform which would use Yahoo’s Right Media exchange.

Mark Read, director of strategy and chief executive of WPP Digital unit spoke about the new developments: “More and more, we see the need for agencies and media and technology companies to work together to create a new level of value.”
