Via EPIA PX5000EG board launched
VIA Technologies has announced the launch of their low-power version of its x86 board for embedded automation and industrial control devices.
This new product is named EPIA PX5000EG and it comes loaded with their power-efficient 500-MHz Eden ULV processor.
This processor has a maximum power draw of 1 watt.
Daniel Wu, VP of VIA’s embedded platform division spoke at the launch ceremony: “The introduction of the VIA EPIA PX5000EG elevates the VIA EPIA range of innovative embedded solutions to new heights of thermal and energy efficiency in an extremely miniaturized form factor.”
The company added that this product is a complete system that comes with both LVDS/DVI and VGA support, integrated 5.1 channel audio, 100/10 Ethernet. It supports both IDE and SATA drives in addition to up to six USB ports and a COM port.
