Microsoft reopens possibility for a deal with Yahoo

Microsoft might have withdrawn their acquisition offer for Yahoo but they are still interested in a deal with the internet media giant.

The software giant said that they are discussing with Yahoo on a possible collaborative deal other than a complete acquisition.

They did not reveal many details on the latest talks. Yahoo said separately that they are currently considering a “number of value-maximizing strategic alternatives”.

Microsoft added: “Microsoft is not proposing to make a new bid to acquire all of Yahoo at this time, but reserves the right to reconsider that alternative, depending on future developments and discussions that may take place.”
