Facebook set to get a facelift

The developers behind the Facebook social networking service have revealed that they are working on a redesign to reduce clutter on user pages.

Facebook has grown a lot in the recent months with the addition of third party applications which tends to make a lot of clutter on user profile and other pages.

The new layout is expected to make extensive use of tabs to display more information in a limited space.

This would enable the user to hide the information behind tabs which are not that important to him.

The same information is currently presented in a cluttered manner which makes the pages on service complicated with too much scrolling.

Mark Slee, Facebook product manager spoke about the upcoming changes: “Change is difficult for our users, even positive changes. But we are pretty confident that we can walk everyone through this so they will be engaged with the changes and enjoy them.”
