Yahoo delays their annual meeting to July

Internet media giant Yahoo has revealed that they are now postponing their annual meeting to sometime in July this year.

This is the second time that they have delayed this meeting. The first delay was mostly due to the Microsoft’s acquisition bid which is now history.

Now, the company is facing intense pressure from billionaire investor Carl Icahn who wants to replace the Yahoo board of directors which new members.

Yahoo is said to be in talks with Microsoft for a collaborative deal which would not involve a complete acquisition.

The delay could be to get some time to get into a deal which would satisfy Icahn’s demands.

Yahoo also had a small test with Google recently which allowed them to run Google ads on some of their search pages. That test was called successful though a deal between them would face regulatory objections.
