HP launches environment friendly HP DeskJet D2545 Printer
Hewlett Packard has announced the launch of their new environment friend product HP DeskJet D2545 Printer.
The company claims that this printer is made almost entirely out of recycled plastic.
As much as 83% of the printer’s total plastic weight is recycled material.
This printer also uses their HP 60 ink cartridges which are also molded from recycled plastic resins.
They are currently offering it directly and through Wal-Mart stores.
It is being retailed at $45.
HP also revealed that they have set themselves some goals to become an environment friendly company. They are working on improving the overall energy efficiency of its ink and laser printing products by 40% by 2011.
