AT&T deploys HSPA network in the US as it prepares for iPhone 3G
Market sources say that Apple is very much likely to launch the Apple iPhone 3G edition in the US market next month.
Looks like AT&T is all set for this launch as they are nearing completion of deployment of its high speed packet access nationwide network.
The company said that their HSUPA protocol and its HSDPA technology would soon become the first fully deployed HSPA broadband infrastructure installed nationwide in the US market.
AT&T representative Kris Rinne added: “The ability to quickly upload large files from a laptop is no longer a luxury — it’s a necessity.”
AT&T is currently the exclusive service provider for the Apple iPhone in the USA.

Yes. Having a high-speed internet link is very important. But only if you live in one of the 25 highest-density cities in the US.
