Google Sites now open to every Google account holder
Search engine giant Google has made it easier for a web user to have his/her own website. The company already owns the Blogger service which enables the user to have a blog.
Google Sites was till now available only to the users of their Google Apps for companies and organizations.
Now, the service is open to any Google user.
The company said in a blog post:
Now we’ve made it easy for anyone to set up a website to share all types of information — team projects, company intranets, community groups, classrooms, clubs, family updates, you name it — in one place, for a few people, a group or the world.
Incidentally, Google already has another similar project named Google Page Creator. This one looks like a more advanced version.
