Hop 1800: The USD 10 mobile phone
Hop-on has announced the launch of their new mobile phone which costs just USD 10. The company claims that they designed this phone to work as a backup phone.
This new device is basically a pre-paid phone featuring no display. It is compatible with more than 40 U.S. wireless carriers.
The company itself offers wireless services in the country.
Hop-on said that the phone is targeted at people who need a device to just make calls. It is a good device for people traveling to other countries where they can purchase a local sim and make calls.
The phone is available in two versions: 850/1,900 MHz, 900/1,900 MHz.
The phone offers four hours of talk time. The company is also offering a $5 rebate for returning the phone.
