Volkswagen has revealed that they are working on plans to launch their UP! model in the Indian market by 2010-11.
The company aims to launch it at a price point of around Rs. 3 lakhs.
It would become the cheapest model from the company which also has other popular brands including Audi and Skoda.
The car of course would not be able to compete with Tata Nano which is currently scheduled for launch in the Indian market later this year.

VW’s current cheapest offering in India is the Skoda Fabia which sells for prices starting at around Rs. 4.5 lakhs.
