CNG edition of Mercedes-Benz cars launched in India!

It’s not only the small cars makers who are working on launching CNG editions of their popular models.

Luxury car maker Mercedes Benz has announced the availability of their models with CNG option.

The CNG edition of the Merc makes this car more fuel efficient and it even betters the fuel efficiency of Maruti 800 which is currently only available in petrol option!

The company claims that on CNG, the car gives a fuel efficiency of 20 km on a kg of CNG. Considering CNG is a lot cheaper in the market, this would result in massive savings for owners of this model.

Daimler India spoke about CNG powered Mercedes Benz: “We have some cars running on CNG in India. It’s a successful technology and has been developed over the years. We are also trying the bio-diesel option on the E Class saloon here. If these extensive trials are successful, we shall introduce these cars in India too.”
