Wal-Mart pushes Blu-Ray drives to customers
US based retailing giant Wal-Mart has decided that they are going to make the Blu-Ray player more popular amongst the Americans.
Since the format war is now over with the exit of Toshiba from this industry, they now have the clear winner to promote in their stores.
The company said that during June 8-14 they would be offering a $100 Wal-Mart gift card with any Blu-Ray player purchased from them.
To prepare for this promotional scheme, they are now offering Blu-Ray players from more companies including Magnavox, Samsung and Panasonic.
They are also going to offer select Blu-Ray titles at heavy discounts. Movies like 3:10 to Yuma, Shooter and 300 would be offered for just USD 15 in the Blu-Ray format.
