AMD Puma platform coming up
Advanced Micro Devices is all set to launch their Puma platform for the notebooks as they aim to renew their challenge against the market leader Intel.
The company said that Puma launch would be the largest-ever launch for notebook personal computers.
They are working with PC makers to introduce more than 100 different notebook PCs in the market based on this platform.
AMD representative Leslie Sobon spoke about Puma: “This is double the design wins over any previous mobile launches.”
Some of the company working on introducing Puma includes Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu Siemens and Hewlett Packard.
These notebooks would be available in the price range of $700 to $2,000.
