AT&T offering faster mobile broadband
US based telecom giant AT&T has announced that they have now upgraded their 3G wireless network to offer faster speeds.
Analysts believe that speed boost comes at the perfect time as Apple is almost sure to launch the iPhone 3G edition later this month.
AT&T said that their upgraded network would offer downlink speeds of up to 1.7Mbps.
The company added that they aim to deploy HSUPA across its entire 3G network by the end of this month.
The service is usable on any of the mobile device provided by the company that is HSPA-enabled. Users can also get it on their notebooks and laptops using a LaptopConnect wireless modem.
