AMD launches ATI XGP to bring advanced graphical power to laptops
Microprocessor maker AMD has announced the launch of their latest technology named ATI XGP.
This new platform has been designed to bring desktop quality graphic processing capabilities to laptops.
The company said that this new technology is designed to deliver graphics over a connected cable to an externally powered and cooled device.
Matt Skynner, AMD’s vice president of marketing for graphics products added: “With ATI XGP technology, notebooks can switch between everyday computing and hard-core gaming with a simple plug-in that’s also portable enough to bring powerful 3-D performance on the go. This technology allows users to choose notebooks with slim, lightweight and elegant designs, yet enjoy the full performance of a traditional desktop gaming rig wherever it’s convenient.”
