Seagate launches Savvio 10K.3 hard drive
Seagate this week launched their latest Savvio 10K.3 hard drive.
Savvio 10K.3 is the company’s 300-GB 2.5-inch drive designed for servers and storage arrays.
Seagate said that this new product consumes 70% less power compared to the previous generation model.
It also offers more storage compared to traditional 3.5-inch drives. The drive operates at 10,000 RPM.
Seagate added that this new drive offers a reliability rating of 1.6 million hours and comes with a SAS 2.0 interface.
The company also launched two other products: Savvio 10K.2 (146GB) and Savvio 15K (73GB).
