Yahoo Local India service launched

Internet media giant Yahoo has now launched their Yahoo Local web services in India.

With this, India has now joined USA and UK to have this service from Yahoo.

The service is currently in beta phase and works in four cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.

They are planning to add support for more cities in the coming months.

Yahoo India has also integrated an SMS feature into this service enabling web users to send information to their friends on mobile devices.

Yahoo said that the content for this localized service comes from their local and international partners.
